🌍 International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression

🌍 International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression

Observed on June 4th every year

🕊️ Purpose of the Day

The International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression is a solemn observance dedicated to acknowledging the pain and suffering experienced by children around the world who are victims of physical, mental, and emotional abuse due to war and conflict.

It serves as a reminder to protect children's rights and ensure a safer, more compassionate world for future generations.

🧒👧 Why Children?

Children are the most vulnerable during times of conflict. They often:

  • Lose their homes and families

  • Experience trauma and displacement

  • Face recruitment into armed groups

  • Are deprived of education and healthcare

  • Suffer long-term psychological consequences

This day sheds light on their suffering, emphasizing the need for urgent humanitarian and protective measures.
