A simple bowl of pears becomes a subject of depth, texture, and light. The composition reflects a timeless still-life tradition, where ordinary forms are transformed into visual poetry. 🖌️ Artistic Process The journey began with a loose sketch to establish composition and balance. With acrylics, layering was approached strategically — starting with thin underpainting and gradually building opacity and highlights. Fast-drying acrylic allowed controlled detailing, especially in defining form, edges, and reflections. Every year, November 7 is observed as National Cancer Awareness Day in India. This day is dedicated to spreading awareness about early detection, prevention, and treatment of cancer, a disease that touches countless lives across the country.

The observance coincides with the birth anniversary of Marie Curie, the Nobel Prize-winning scientist whose research on radioactivity laid the foundation for cancer treatment through radiation.

  • Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in India, with cases rising steadily.

  • Many cancers in India—such as oral, cervical, and breast cancer—are highly preventable and curable if detected early.

  • Due to stigma, lack of awareness, and limited screening, many patients are diagnosed at late stages, reducing chances of recovery.

  • Spread educational messages about symptoms and risks

  • Emphasize the importance of healthy lifestyle habits

  • Break the social stigma surrounding cancer
