The composition reflects a timeless still-life tradition, where ordinary forms are transformed into visual poetry. 🖌️ Artistic Process The journey began with a loose sketch to establish composition and balance. With acrylics, layering was approached strategically — starting with thin underpainting and gradually building opacity and highlights. Fast-drying acrylic allowed controlled detailing, especially in defining form, edges, and reflections. 📖 What Is Algerian Revolution Day?

Algerian Revolution Day, observed every year on 1 November, commemorates the start of Algeria’s War of Independence against French colonial rule. Known as the Toussaint Rouge (“Red All Saints' Day”), the revolution officially began on 1 November 1954, marking the birth of Algeria's fight for freedom, sovereignty, and national identity.

Algeria was under French colonial rule from 1830 to 1962. After more than a century of oppression, inequality, and resistance, a revolutionary movement called the Front de Libération Nationale (FLN) launched a coordinated armed struggle on 1 November 1954.

This uprising set off an 8-year war, one of the most brutal and complex decolonization conflicts of the 20th century. It ended with Algeria gaining independence on 5 July 1962, following the Évian Accords signed in March of that year.
