This marks the  first time microbial fuel cells (MFCs) have been integrated into wearable technology , opening up exciting possibilities for self-sustaining energy solutions. How Does It Work? The system relies on  microbial fuel cells , which use bacteria to break down organic matter (in this case, human waste) and generate electricity as a byproduct.
